Sign Manager®
To view another Page Tab for the highlighted Sign Record, simply click on one of the desired page tabs across the top of the following graphic display.
In VIMMS®, a Sign is located along a specified roadway, which is referred to as the On Street, or On Roadway. The Sign's placement is referenced to the On Street in relation to a cross street or other physical Reference Point. (e.g. a railroad crossing or river). The program performs a check prior to data entry to verify that data has been entered only for valid Roadway Segments.
Establishing a Sign's location along a roadway is accomplished by defining its location attributes. Visually, it is quite similar to an earlier inventorying technique that used a Pin Map to depict the position of each Sign within the Road Network.
When the Sign Manager Icon is selected from the VIMMS® Main Menu ToolBar, a list of all sign Records in the system will be displayed.
In the example above, the Sign Records shown on the List Page Tab are sorted by Sign Serial Number. The sort selection can be changed, by double clicking on the desired column heading.
When a Sign Record is highlighted on this Page Tab, its record details can be viewed by clicking on the other Page Tabs to the right of the List Tab.
